Fleet services that reach the accounts
Service types backed by a product, service records with a company, a vendor product and a tracked amount - so a repair is a cost, not a note.
Viin Fleet (technical name viin_fleet) is an Odoo 17.0 app for Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise and Viindoo Cloud, built for fleet manager, accountant, purchasing, controller.
At a Glance
The facts of Viin Fleet, version 0.1.3, in one place. Published by Viindoo.
How It Works
Three screens.
The services
Vehicle, type, vendor and amount - the log the fleet manager keeps.
One service in full
The product behind the service type, the company, and an amount that is tracked.
The types behind them
Each with its product - generated the first time it is needed rather than configured up front.
What You Get
A product behind every service type, generated when missing
The product on the service record, with the vendor's price
A company on each service, for multi-company fleets
Amount and vehicle tracked, so changes leave a trail
Service types are chatter-enabled and maintained like any master data
The standard fleet screens, with the accounting hooks added

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
It makes the service purchasable and reportable; billing stays purchasing's.
Planning, bookings and driver management are the fleet apps on top.
One per service type, when first needed - not a catalogue up front.
Those stay Odoo's fleet.
Works Well With
Apps from the same stack, built to fit this one:
Who Should Use Viin Fleet?
Fleet manager
Records a repair as a cost that finance can see.
Accountant
Finds fleet spend through products, like every other cost.
Purchasing
Buys a service against the product it belongs to.
Controller
Compares cost per vehicle across companies.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Viin Fleet do?
Service types backed by a product, service records with a company, a vendor product and a tracked amount - so a repair is a cost, not a note.
What does Viin Fleet not do?
It does not create vendor bills. It makes the service purchasable and reportable; billing stays purchasing's. It is a technical layer. Planning, bookings and driver management are the fleet apps on top. Products are generated conservatively. One per service type, when first needed - not a catalogue up front. It does not change odometer or contract logic. Those stay Odoo's fleet.
Who is Viin Fleet for?
Fleet manager: Records a repair as a cost that finance can see. Accountant: Finds fleet spend through products, like every other cost. Purchasing: Buys a service against the product it belongs to. Controller: Compares cost per vehicle across companies.
Which Odoo version and editions does it support?
Odoo 17.0 - Odoo Community, Odoo Enterprise, Viindoo Cloud. Upgrades to a newer Odoo series are a separate purchase for that series.
What does it depend on?
It installs on top of: fleet, product. Odoo installs them with it.
How do I set it up?
Three screens.
What works well with it?
Fleet Planning (viin_fleet_planning): Dispatch and trips on top of the same vehicles. Fleet Booking (viin_fleet_booking): Who has the vehicle and when. Fleet Drivers (to_fleet_driver): The people behind the wheel.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes - the Live Preview button at the top of this page opens the module's own screen on a working database.
