Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
Documents with a validity date are Employee Documents, a different module.
They keep working; filing them is a deliberate move.
Which is the point - separate from the employee record.

What does Documents - HR do?

What does Documents - HR not do?
It does not track expiry. Documents with a validity date are Employee Documents, a different module. It does not migrate old attachments. They keep working; filing them is a deliberate move. Access is the document system's. Which is the point - separate from the employee record. It needs the Documents app. That is the half it bridges to.

Concepts
- Document Generation Rule: A rule to link the Documents app with other apps in the system. This rule allows attachments from apps in the system and can be stored in the Documents app for centralized management.
Usages
- After installing the module, navigate to Documents > Configuration > Document Generation Rule and you will see a rule that automatically generates documentation for the generated HR document.
- Next, navigate to Employees > Select any employee or create a new employee > Attach an attachment on the employee view.
- To view attached documents on the employee view, Go to Documents > Documents > Select the Employee Document. The attached documents will be displayed here.
