What does Maintenance - MRP do?

What does Maintenance - MRP not do?
MTBF needs history. A new machine has no failures to compute from - the figure fills in over time. It does not stop production. An overdue machine is visible; blocking is a planning decision. It does not order spare parts. Parts are inventory; this schedules the work. Estimates are estimates. They are arithmetic on past failures, not a prediction engine.
Who is Maintenance - MRP for?
Maintenance manager: Plans from the machine's own failure history. Production planner: Knows which work centre is due to stop. Technician: Sees the request against the equipment and its work centre. Management: Reads reliability as a number.
Which Odoo version and editions does it support?
Odoo 17.0 - Odoo Community, Odoo Enterprise, Viindoo Cloud. Upgrades to a newer Odoo series are a separate purchase for that series.

It installs on top of: mrp, maintenance. Odoo installs them with it.
