Overview
This bridge module connects the LCL Consolidation module (viin_freight_consol) with the Freight Document Integration module (viin_document_freight).
When both parent modules are installed, this module automatically activates and adds document management workflows specific to LCL consolidation operations:
- House Bill of Lading (HBL) preparation wizard on house shipments — creates a tracked document request, sets the HBL number, and applies the correct document tags.
- Delivery Order (D/O) preparation wizard on import house shipments — records the D/O number, stamps the issuance timestamp, and creates the corresponding document request.
Key Features
HBL Preparation Wizard
- Opens from the Required Documents tab on any house shipment.
- Pre-fills document name and summary; allows entering the HBL number directly in the wizard.
- Creates or updates a logistics.shipment.required.document of type House B/L with the correct document tags.
Delivery Order Preparation Wizard
- Opens from the Required Documents tab on house import shipments (visible only when direction = import and D/O not yet issued).
- Sets the D/O number on the shipment and stamps the do_issued_at timestamp.
- Creates or updates a document request of type Delivery Order linked to the shipment workspace.
Unified Document Type Selection
- Extends the freight_document_type field on logistics.shipment.required.document to include hbl and delivery_order values.
- Each type is mapped to the correct pre-existing document tags from viin_document_freight.
Benefits
- Visibility: All HBL and D/O document tasks appear in the unified Required Documents tab alongside SI and Draft B/L.
- Traceability: Every document action is tracked via a document request linked to the shipment workspace.
- Zero configuration: Auto-installs when both parent modules are present; no manual setup required.
