What does Estimate do?
Estimates with expense and income lines, taxes, sub-estimates whose confirmed lines roll into the parent as sections, profit and input/output VAT, a currency per estimate and a report by product.
What does Estimate not do?
Rolled-up lines cannot be edited on the parent. Cancel the phase, edit, re-confirm. No quotation is created. Estimate to Sale adds that. Children must sit inside the parent's dates and currency. Fix the phase first.
Who is Estimate for?
Project manager: Phases estimated separately, totalled once. Finance: Margin and VAT before the quote. Sales: A number to quote from.
Which Odoo version and editions does it support?
Odoo 17.0 - Odoo Community, Odoo Enterprise, Viindoo Cloud. Upgrades to a newer Odoo series are a separate purchase for that series.
