Amendments as documents, for any record that needs them
A generic addendum: type, reference code, validity dates and state - attachable to whichever record your process amends.

How It Works
Two screens.
Every amendment, in one list
Type, reference, validity and state - the register a compliance officer asks for.
One amendment
What it changes, from when to when, and the text of the document itself.
What You Get
Addendum types: amendment, decision, modification - extendable
A reference code, validity dates and a state per document
Attachable to any model, through a model and record reference
Chatter and activities on every addendum
A description that reads like the document it stands for
The base the HR contract amendments are built on
More Screens
Everything below was taken on a database seeded with real business data, on this series - not a mock-up and not a screenshot from an older version.

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
The app that uses it decides what an amendment does - this holds the document.
Route it through the approval engine when the process needs one.
Electronic signature is a separate app.
Installed alone it gives you a register; the value comes from the apps that attach to it.
Works Well With
Apps from the same stack, built to fit this one:
Contracts and Addenda
The main consumer: employment contracts and their amendments.
viin_hr_contractWho Should Use Base Addendum?
HR
Issues an amendment instead of editing a contract field.
Administration
Keeps decisions with their reference numbers and dates.
Auditor
Finds the document behind a change, not just the change.
Developer
Reuses one amendment model rather than writing another.
