What does Sales Price Lock not do?
It checks on save, not on keystroke. The error appears when the line is saved. Discount fields are not locked. Lock or hide discounts separately. Per company. Each company switches its own lock. Tax-included prices are compared correctly. The check uses the same fix Odoo uses for tax-included pricelists.

1. Feature activation
Navigate to Sales > Configuration > Settings, enable the Lock Sales Prices feature, and select the user groups that have the sales price edition rights. E.g: users with the Sales/User: All Documents and above will be able to edit the sales price.
2. Usage
With the user access rights lower than the Sales/User: All Documents one, when creating a sales order, the sales price from a pricelist or the one configured on the product will be displayed by default.
When the user modifies the pricing information, a warning will pop up and it's not possible to save the changes.
