Video Demo: Vietnam - Subcontracting Management & Accounting
Overview
In Odoo CE:
- Subcontracting locations are considered internal locations under the management of the subcontracting party.

- The system only records accounting journal entries for production costs after completing the finished goods receipt.

However, under Vietnamese regulations:
- Subcontracting locations are external to the management of the subcontracting party and are effectively production sites belonging to the subcontractor.

- At the time materials are issued from inventory and transferred to subcontracting locations, journal entries must be recorded for work-in-progress (WIP) costs.

To address these challenges, the Vietnam - Subcontracting Accounting module is designed to help manufacturing businesses in Vietnam comply with legal requirements while enhancing transparency and legitimacy in production operations.

Key Features
- Automatically record accounting journal entries when resupplying materials for subcontracting.
- Enables the configuration of valuation accounts (Inbound / Outbound) for internal locations marked as subcontracting locations.

- Inbound account: 154 Work-in-progress costs

- Outbound account: 155 Finished goods

- Automatically generates journal entries to record WIP costs when completing material resupply transfers for subcontracting based on configured accounts.

- Resupply materials for subcontracting orders
- Adds a smart button to allow quick creation of material resupply transfers for subcontracting orders.

Benefits

- Helps businesses meet all legal requirements for accounting and production management in Vietnam.
